FLLP are providing Quantity Surveying and Contract Administrating services to Regency School to repair and recover the aged and defective flat roof.  The construction of the roof consists of original Woodwool slabs and a combination of insulation and fibre board over with a felt covering to finish. A previous attempt had been made to waterproof the whole roof with a cold applied liquid system, which failed. This system needed to be stripped off in order for the new roofing system to be applied.

As part of FLLP’s remit, a specification was drawn up and sent out to tender to a number of roofing contractors; the successful contractor devis   250 existing properties, to include; the external re-cladding of over 100 properties, redecorating of another 100 properties and improving the external appearance of another 50 properties. All of the properties will be checked for adequate levels of loft insulation and increased to current standards where required.
